Day 1 Klagenfurt Airport/Arrival

Welcome dinner in rustical “Paco’s Taverna“. Treat yourself to local dishes prepared by this family run
business in the surroundings of the tranquil Faaker Lake. Afterwards outlining the plan for the coming days
to some easy tunes of live music.

Day 2 Klagenfurt

Klagenfurt has been awarded the much sought after Europa Nostra diploma three times for the exemplary renovation of its old town. In 1981, 1984 and 1995. Highlights among many others include the mystical “Woerthersee Mandl” and the famous Lindwurm fountain on the new square. But also the bustling Benedikterplatz
with its daily market and the old square with its large array of medieval buildings scattered around the busy pedestrian zone that has drawn people for many centuries
for trade.

The Woerthersee is also on our “to-do-list” for the day with its scenic Maria Woerth and chic Velden but before taking an excessive tour around the lake we shall not forget to walk around
me most spectacular monuments of this planet – in miniature. The Minimundus set along the Lend-channel is one of the very highlights of this day.

Day 3 St.Kanzian/Klopeinersee

Moving further down to the south the Klopeinersee with its lovely St.Kanzian is one of the many popular hideouts Southern Carinthia has to offer.
The many cafes and restaurants lining promenade are ever inviting and a bike ride or a lengthy stroll around the lake is highly recommended.
Short trips to the near by Klein-See and Turnersee are something we will definitely look into as well ! Get your beach gear ready and take a refreshing
dive in this amazing triangle of lakes.

Day 4 Bad Eisenkappel/Koschuta Tower

The most Southern city of Austria has always been at the center of attention when it comes to relaxation, entertainment or activity.
The Koshuta Tower is a popular and medium level hike that will get us started in the morning and taking a well deserved picnic after
those inspiring views over the Karawanken mountains can’t be rated highly enough! Moving to Bad Eisenkappel the popular
Tropfstein-caves will be awaiting and for everyone who wants cool down after so much exercise this will be the perfect place.
Moving to the thermal-bath should be a sweet treat to whether have your legs finally shaken up or just relaxing over some freshly
squeezed orange juice in the warm springs!

Day 5 Herzogstuhl/Bad Kleinkirchheim

On the way from Maria Saal towards St.Veit this historical evergreen should not be missed. Used for the crowning
of Dukes this massive stone made chair is still in great condition for its years and will be a great opening for the day.

Long been famous for its spectacular skiing slopes and its Alpine World Cup races Bad Kleinkirchheim is slowly
making the headlines as a dynamic summer retreat. With exceptional hikes and an impressive recreational area this
could be an afternoon of light exercising, some peaceful lunch next to a quaint log house with the conclusion of
a dip in the warm springs of the highly decorative interior of the thermal bath.

Day 6 St.Georgen am Laengsee/Castle Hochosterwitz

A spectacular hike through the gates of Castle Hochosterwitz will get you started for this very region. The museum, the lovely
restaurant and the enticing views are hard to beat, but when sending one of those remarkable postcards back home everyone
will be jealous about this one !

Just within striking distance across the road another beauty sits on a nice uphill – the Laengsee, is a lake that shouldn’t be
missed in the greater St.Veit region. Taking a short bike ride along its shore in the evening before the sun goes down should be one
the big moments of this trip and can only be recommended.

Day 7 Heinrich Harrer Museum Huettenberg/ Heunburg

The most spectacular setting for a Tibetan museum one can think of. The former mining town of Huettenberg paid tribute to its
most famous son Heinrich Harrer. A man who was the first from the West who dared to travel across Tibet when
political times were rough and shared the friendship of the young Dalai Lama till his death. Inspiring the Hollywood production
“Seven Years in Tibet” this man came a long way and is by far one of the most famous people from this region.

For the evening the spectacular Heunburg has long been a setting for theater play. And what could be better than culturally finishing off the day in
the sunset atop a castle ?
